Actualy, that's not really true. The Contras were simply a reconstitution of the Somoza dictatorship's national guard.

Actually it is true. Some of the Contra leaders where former national guard leaders or other prominent Somaza supporters but not all of them, and many of the rank and file had little connection to the old regime.
