Yes, and if you go back to the Reagan era, its very easy to make the case that the GOP is the source of most of our problems. You're certifiable. Reagan inherited the worst economy in my lifetime (remember the "misery index"???). Reagan inherited a dilapidated military that couldn't even put together a rescue of our hostages (you may remember that Ross Perot was able to rescue his employees with a team of a half dozen guys). And the Left's greatest concern, since before Carter was elected, was nuclear proliferation -- which got worse under Carter and was eliminated under Reagan. Only a total idiot would make the remark you made, regardless of ideology.
