You are not looking at the picture in a broad sense. Cars and trains allowed certain out-migrations, planes allowed others, improved communications others, the net others. It is all part of a process that began with the development of cultivation. We have experienced the movement of chipmaking abroad. It was happening in the late 60's - early 70's. We're talking over 40 years ago. It reached such proportions that the U.S. electronics industry was delcared dead and Japan the winners. But here we are with a healthy, vigorous, electronics business.
