There is a rather large difference between having strength enough to defend yourself against someone who is trying to destroy you,

So we agree. Israel can defend itself against Iraq and would have if Iraq had been perceived by Israeli intelligence as a serious threat to Israel. I didn't say anything about superpowers.

The issue was about the credibility of intelligence agencies. Hawk seemed to indicate that there was agreement between the intelligence agencies on the planet that Iraq had a large arsenal of WMDs.

Hawk didn't answer the question and neither did you. Is Israeli intelligence included in this consensus of almost all of the intelligence agencies on the planet? Or is Israel left out because it is such a tiny nation with only six million people?

Of all the intelligence agencies on the planet...which one do you think would be most concerned about a WMD threat from Iraq? Do you think Israel would be in the top five?
