You need to relay that message to France because that's exactly what they did recently to the USA.

I would expect the French to act as allies when the USA needed them in the same way the UK came to our assistance.
France had lucrative contracts with Saddam Hussein that's why they opposed his ouster.

Compare the integrity of Tony Blair with Chirac. That simple exercise demonstrates the huge cultural differences that have separated the French from Americans & British people. France recently proved that it's more comfortable with Germany than with it's former allies.
