I don't think that will happen either, at least not in an obvious way. The stock price might go up, or it might go down but there are a lot of other factors that effect that change other then the number of outstanding shares. My opinion is of course that the number of outstanding shares has a little or no effect on the stock price. If I'm right anything can happen to the stock. If your right I guess the stock should underperform the market but if it does underperform how do we know why it underperformed?
