death is a concept that is extremely difficult for young children to understand

kids need many explanations and have many questions regarding death - "What happens when people die? Where do they go?"

it should be discussed honestly and in language that children can understand at their stage of development/age

Reagan's death could have been used as an opportunity, when the death was far removed [no parents grieving]

if the parents chose not to do that, they could have limited/screened TV [which I think is a good idea for kids either way]
