I wonder if the potential exposure of this has had anything to do with the incredible performance of the small caps lately? I'd imagine that if this has any chance of being stopped the "boys" will be covering already. Maybe the sandbagging by nbc was engineered to buy some time. If there is any truth to this and if there are large amounts of nonexistent shares sold short the squeeze in the relevant issues would be unprecedented. I have a feeling that they will "fix" it somehow before that happens though. Regular people might actually make some money and I doubt they'll let that happen.
