The early ads where he showed coffins of people after the 9/11 attacks which came in for criticism claimed that he has provided noteworthy "leadership" in the war on terrorism. IMO, the effectiveness of a leadership is measured by the degree of progress the war has made towards its stated goal, which is victory. We know full well that there is progress but in the reverse direction for the reasons I state din my earlier post. Besides, Mr. Powell himself has said that the claim by the Administration in a recent report where it painted a rosy scenario on the progress is faulty. Did I stay on point to your question?
