Hi Greg, thanks for the link. My mother cut out a Billy Graham hell/justice response from the newspaper and gave it to me tonight. I have plenty of well meaning hell fire supporters trying to straighten me out.

It's really very simple. We, like Adam, are dying. But Christ, through His work on the cross, will abolish death. The wages of sin is death(not eternal life in flames). But death is temporary(2 Timothy 1:10, 1 Corinthians 15:26). Death is what Christ is bringing us out of. But each in his own order(1 Corinthians 15:23, 1 Timothy 2;5&6). The body of Christ during the ages, the rest at the consummation of the ages.

Have a good one Greg,

alan w

"The Talmud: Heart's Blood of the Jewish Faith,"

was the heading of a November, 1959, installment of a bestselling book by the Jewish author, Herman Wouk, which ran serially in the New York Herald-Tribune.

To quote:

The Talmud is to this day the circulating heart's blood of the Jewish religion. Whatever laws, customs or ceremonies we observe — whether we are Orthodox, Conservative, Reform or merely spasmodic sentimentalists — we follow the Talmud. It is our common law.
