Sorry, I need a nap. I thought you meant that the meaning of the word "crusade" had morphed from religious war to a more generic definition, "2 : a remedial enterprise undertaken with zeal and enthusiasm." I thought you were using that second definition, and I was opposing that use of the word, even though it's perfectly acceptable in general, because in the context it was unnecessarily inflammatory to Muslims, who were more likely than not to adhere to the original definition. I am going to log off and take that nap now, maybe you can clarify whether the second meaning of the word has any relevance to this conversation.
