That's crazy talk. He's out there campaigning for Kerry right now. He's practically begging for the slot.

I'm not making predictions but no incumbent has been in as bad shape as Bush is in (in the polls) at this point in the cycle and been re-elected since WWII.

So statistically speaking, this would be as good an opportunity for Edwards as any.
