You forgot to acknowledge that Hispanics were here first in much of what is the US.

Human nature being what it is Mr. Pilch, I suspect if your family were starving in Mexico you'd be on the underground bus too. I would be.

Like I said, we need a RATIONAL policy on immigration. We are not going to get one from this Administration because their policies are built on fear not RATIONAL thought.

I'm not too crazy about having a couple of hundred million illiterate Catholics across the border but we need to do some thing to protect our goals to create a better world for everyone. I live in East Los Angeles so unlike many of the suburban... refugees? hiders? I have first hand knowledge of who the immigrants are. Mostly hard working, well meaning but poorly educated people.

We need to have an educated electorate so just letting people across willy nilly is not the answer. If we are to absorb these people it should be a slow process that requires some contributions in the form of money towards our general treasury and requires a considerable amount of self education before naturalization.
