I think the issue of "cut and run" is dead as far as Kerry and Bush go. And I also think that the American public would go with their psition on this issue.

What I meant about "struggling with every decision" is that Bush accuses Kerry of flip flop (which is symptomatic of struggling with a issue), but at the same time he indulges in the same tactic. One day his folks say they are going to hand over Saddam to Iraq, the next day they reverse that and say no and so on with many other issues.

Soo why campaign against Kerry on something that they themselves indulge in?

The very definition of a quagmire, and so like Vietnam. How can Bush admit defeat, to a pissant bunch of insurgents in Iraq? Can Kerry? Nixon had a lot of trouble doing it.
