A more brilliant solution, in hindsight, would have been to listen to the demands of the radical Islamics and withdraw from the Middle East (Saudi Arabia and our pro-Israel stance over Palestine). I think we would all agree that 9/11, USS Cole, and those other bombings were all just their way of communicating their wishes to us (I don't think they can read or write, those poor uneducated people :-(. I mean, really, if we had done what they asked, they would love and embrace us now and the world would be such a peaceful place. They'd have their virgin Saudi soil and some great real estate in Israel and we'd still have our oil, dignity and a world-admired foreign policy. Heck, we'd probably have some American in the UN instead of that Koffi guy. And just think, if we had withdrawn from the ME like they asked BEFORE 9/11, Bin Laden would have surely cancelled the airplane attacks on those innocent people in the WTC. We are such silly people aren't we. Foreign policy is so simple when you think about it. I can hardly wait for John Kerry to fix it all up.
