JF, How, when, did we get to the point where we think we have the right, or the power, to "fix" the world? Then I guess we'll just have to brace ourselves for more bombs, beheadings, and other horrors, just like I said. But I'm sure we Americans are just too spoiled rotten to take a bloody nose once in a while. Has anyone ever punched you in the nose, really hard and mashed it bad......so bad you bleed freely and it feels like your whole face is about to explode? ted

What is causing the increase in terrorists actions against Americans? 1. Terrorism has been around for a long time. Is it just a natural increase in activity? The ebb and flow of political relations? 2. Did a successful 9/11 inspire the increase in activity? 3. Have our actions, particularly Iraq, increased the number of, and activity by, terrorists? 4. Is our near hysterical fear of terrorism, our obvious vulnerability to being influenced by terrorist acts, encouraging more frustrated people to look to terrorism as a political solution? 5. Is there some other reason? I don't think most people can buy into the idea that these are just evil people doing random evil acts because they don't like/are jealous of us. I think you have to dig a little deeper than the Bush good vs. evil sound bites. John
