Clinton left office the most popular president ever. Higher approval ratings than Reagan. Clinton gave us 7 years of prosperity, unity, almost zero unemployment and peace on earth. He had one problem, he cheated on his wife. Everyone knew it from the beginning but elected him twice anyway. The rightwing mounted an enormous underhanded campaign to somehow out his sexcapades. They used congress and a special prosecutor to do it under the guise of a little land deal called Whitewater. Clinton deserves your respect. He delivered. GW has not.

Clinton made enormous changes to the economy after he got into office, AGAINST the wishes of the conservatives in congress. Dick Armey promised us that if the Clinton balanced budget policies went through we would be hit with economic disaster, and Armey for one refused to be held responsible. Clinton lost the midterms and Dem control of congress to balance the budgets, but then gave us 6 straight years of unparalleld prosperity and even started paying down the Reagan debt, which was caused by huge military spending the the deregulation of S+L banks.
