ultra low resolution quality, less than 100kpixels, no good for pictures, no good for video.


On the digital picture side of the market, Qualcomm is talking about releasing chipsets that support 4-6 megapixel sensors next year. Of course, the sensor manufacturers need to create 1/3" sensors at those resolutions but it seems like they are on the right path. KDDI just released the world's first 3 megapixel camera phone this month.

I am less familiar with how digital camcord specs work....but Qualcomm is talking about supporting a 30fps VGA video stream next year. Any idea how that compares with a "typical" digital camcorder?
