I am not interested in telling you anything personal about me, I'm sure you can guess why. But if you can't guess, let me just say that the ugliness on SI has made me unwilling to share with overly aggressive partisans. I think I even regret sharing about my dad, so I won't do that anymore either. Your desires to know about my personal life will have to go unrequited. If I did tell you anything about me you would either 1. not believe it(should it go against your obvious preconceptions about me) or 2. put an amazingly negative spin on it. I have seen this time and again, from you and others. My desire to "share" with you, is therefore nonexistent. The urge to personalize things with people you do not agree with, in terms of delving in to their lives offline, is a negative impulse. If you examine what you have done on SI, you will see that what you are trying to do is collect negative data on people you think are "wrong," and by spinning this data in your mind, you make yourself more comfortable with your own opinions. While I understand this impulse, and even at times have an urge to do it myself, I'm not interested in encouraging you in your endeavor. This might seem to be a bit personal- but every time I read the posts dismissing this or that person on SI as a left wing nut or a right wing but, it is quite clear to me that the building of personal fact dossiers is all about dismissing people, and has nothing to do with real communication. My private life is too precious to me for that. All the best to you.
