Making Israel recognize Arafat at this point is kind of equivalent to making the U.S. recognize Ayatollah Khomenei in the '80s.

I've had this same argument 'round these parts many times before, so I'll just jump to the end of it... no, I don't equate Sharon with Arafat. I don't like him, he's done some bad things in his career, but he's no Arafat.
