The man who wrote the letter is a "swift boat" veteran and said he knows of no swift boat veterans who are concerned with Kerry's medals: if the US Navy says he earned them, he earned them. What they DO care about is Kerry's betrayal of his shipmates by testifying before Congress that he witnessed atrocities committed regularly throughout Vietnam, essentially labeling the veterans war criminals. In addition, Kerry met with representatives of North Vietnam (as did Jane Fonda), our wartime enemy who could not be trusted. This is why he thinks Kerry is unfit to be commander in chief.
