Tim, Even then it would seem inappropriate of place to openly condemn someone for supporting the same policy you voted for unless you apologize for having supported the policy that you now think should be condemned.

There is no need to apologize. Just owning up to the shift is good enough.

There is a difference, however, between a genuine shift and a flip-flop. One is just a reflection of change, the other is trying to have it both ways.

he alleged flip flopping took place over a period of 13 years.
Not really. More like 4. He first expressed one opinion about 13 years before expressing the opposite, but he voted in support of the original opinion 4 years before condemning Bush about it.

Its 14 years by my count......I like my count better.

If your going to condemn your opponent for something you voted for, and you don't want to be condemning for flip-flopping you should at least acknowledge your original position and tell everyone why you changed your mind. Even then it would seem inappropriate of place to openly condemn someone for supporting the same policy you voted for unless you apologize for having supported the policy that you now think should be condemned.

How do you know that he didn't......do you think your source would have reported that info if it did happen? Let me respond for you.......of course not. There is an axe to be ground here......why would they give Kerry the benefit of the doubt.

That having been said I'll repeat what I said earlier.

I do think the Kerry's flip-flops have been exaggerated by many on the right. That's the nature of the political process. One side will always exaggerate the negatives of the other side. But there is a reality there to exaggerate.

Its a reality I appreciate and respect.......I do not want a leader like Bush who gets on a track and doesn't know how to get off. Life is about learning and when you realize you've made a mistake, then you change course........what the fukking GOP would call a flip flop.

Its BS and they can stick it where the sun don't shine!
