I thought it was straight forward. Maybe not.

What does this mean:
"...when a person compulses on a personality disorder..."
Thanks.

Have you ever known someone who is clinically depressed? I have known a couple of people with that problem. In each case, whenever they were talking/gossiping about someone they didn't like, I heard the comment, "he/she must be suffering from depression."

I have also observed that very trusting people...people who don't lock their cars, don't know they are supposed to keep secrets, etc... are not very sneaky and are not likely to pick things up that don't belong to them. On the other hand people who lock everything up tight and figure everyone is out to get their goods ... take what ever isn't tied down and tend to abuse trust.

Its sort of the golden rule in reverse. People tend to do to others and hold a view of others in the same light they view themselves. When that is beyond the norm view, it comes accross as a disorder.

+++++

Now there are definitely people who attempt to deliberately deceive you. When they are caught with irrefutable evidence, it is not only appropriate but necessary to tag them with the proper label...'liar'. This, however, should be a rare exception ... I hope!

On the other hand when someone habitually labels everyone who has an opposing opinion, or religion, or political membership, or difference in view of any kind as a 'liar'... and then reports a high volume of sensational information as fact ... their credibility comes up lacking IMO.
