<<Is this your argument?>>

No interest in learning anything? Don't you want to know how to use anecdotal, sight, and infer?

<<Since we are talking about countries in America>>

I forget, which countries in America were we talking about?

You say liberal policies and a lack of personal responsibility lead to more murder.

But much more liberal countries have much less murder. And the northeast has less murder than the south.

The states decide about capital punishment and they decide about welfare policy. Yet the states with minimal welfare and capital punishment have more murder than the states with more welfare and no capital punishment.

So where is your evidence? All you have is an opinion undermined by evidence.

<<We are not a socialist country.>>

Sure we are. All of us first world industrialized democracies are social democracies. How socialist we are varies but we all redistribute wealth with our taxes, regulate businesses, have labor laws, take care of our poor, sick, and elderly with public money, etc. It's just a matter of degree really.

<<This may be true. From what I have heard they don't have the rights we have in France.>>

Well they have less murder than we do and last time i checked that's what we were talking about.

<<I would rather solve our problems than become France.>>

Wow.
