If you're a greedy coniving conservative who's only goal in life is to get rich and feed your ego, then those people are heros, because they pave the way for your opulent lifestyle. I always find it funny how conservatives are always trying to justify their views and lifestyles, their lack of caring, their pure greed. It seems like conservatism as a philosophy suffers from severe insecurity. That's why they've been at war with liberals for decades. They can't stand that there are people out there who hold different values and views, and expecially the fact that it makes them look like a bunch of souless greedmachines. The gay marriage debate is a perfect microcosim of the whole liberal/conservative debate. We all know that a person's marriage, regardless of idealogy, succeeds or fails based upon it's own merits and how one chooses to manage the marriage. It's a personal responsibility thing (something conservatives love to lecture us about). But, that's not enough for these feeble minded conservatives, they need to attack gay marriage and propose things like the Defense of Marriage Act, because it makes them insecure that people don't view marriage the same way they do and don't view the world the way they do. Never mind the fact that many liberals have led successful marriages. While many conservatives have been married three or four times (like Rush Limpballs), and can't blame gays for their failures. Some of these people actually have the gall to sponser the Defense of Marriage Act (like Bob Barr). What a bunch of friggin clowns. Conservatives: tell us about morality and how to run our lives when you get your own damn lives straigtened out.
