Masterful? Hardly. We fought a dilapidated third world military with limited fight in them. The moment our troops rolled in the place fell into complete chaos. There is nothing masterful about that -- on the contrary, it was scandalous to see the rampant violence and looting that our troops facilitated -- and to see our troops completely incapable of maintaining even minimal order showed us what Iraq would look like under our occupation -- a bleeding mess. It has been that way ever since.
