X, the REALLY great thing about the US is that one can leave it anytime one wants to. Unless of course, one is in jail/prison for breaking a law or more. There are no gates trying to keep people in.

It's sad to be so unhappy, so go ahead, make the change and find your better place. It's out there someplace.

Livable? I guess it's all in your perspective. Some people think California is livable. I don't. Australia seizes private property and chops it into little pieces. New Zealand, I'm told, is beautiful. So are Sweden, Norway, and Finland where they make some very fine steel. and all but Canada are more livable, at least as defined by some surveys.


Better civil service? Less corrupt? I know only about our own, specifically my own agency which was the finest until Clinton got ahold of it, so educate me on how these others are superior. Norway, Finland, Sweden, Canada, Australia, probably New Zealand- however I'll defer to Maurice on that one... There are more countries that probably have a more dedicated civil service,
