I have said for some time that we don't get the best because of the gauntlet they need to run to be elected. I mean if you weren't born and raised in a convent your every mistake of your life becomes front page news. The truly gifted and qualified are not going to subject themselves or their families to the election process.

Thus we get professional politicians. Republican or Democrat, white pig or pink pig, they all feed at the same trough.

We just get to decipher who is likely to do the least damage and vote for them.

A wise commentator on today's political scene just stated on Larry King, that John Kerry has that "night of the living dead" rythmn going for him<g>. Jon Stewart of the The Daily Show is always right on with his observations.

These are just common men running for office...too bad.

I think it's worse, they are frontmen and they will say and whatever they need to say to get there and spend whatever they need from the public treasure to stay there.
