"If the countries who currently buy oil, don't buy the oil, then the countries who have the oil will have effectively nothing to sell.
That leaves entire populations to starve."

The entire industrial civilization is based on fossil fuels. Remove the most important of them(oil) and all sectors connected with transport suffer. Replacing oil with biogas, hydrogen, coal driven fuel cells or what ever one can invent takes time and energy. The time window is rapidly closing. The energy requirements to bring such transport energy sources forward are high and as such will compete with other sectors for funding.
Some estimate that the devastation that will occur will reduce population levels from 7 billion to 3-4 billion.

Well, we've turned over sovereignty to the IIG two days early, it would appear.

This, combined with rumours that Zaqawi has been caught, might be the reason.. But right now his capture is merely speculation.

Very interesting... Should be a lot of celebratory gunfire in Baghdad tonight.. I'm sure the tracers will be dazzling.. but god help anyone caught under such a rain of bullets.

Btw,... I'm doing well.. Thought I might just drop in while I'm taking a break.

As to where I am? Let's just say.. It's hot over here..
