Well, we've turned over sovereignty to the IIG two days early, it would appear.

Yes, but it's not really two days early - it's a year late. We are told that Iraqis are now "ready" for partial sovereignty, but in truth the prolonged occupation just made things worse.

Very interesting... Should be a lot of celebratory gunfire in Baghdad tonight.. I'm sure the tracers will be dazzling.. but god help anyone caught under such a rain of bullets.

Well, it's not really dangerous, like attending a wedding near the Syrian border.

Hi Hawk....It certainly is an interesting time to be living, that's for sure. Hopefully, the Iraqis' will do well with their new counry. Most thinking people wish them much success!

It is hard to think of how they are going to catch the barbarians in their midst.

Also glad to see you here....It's hot here too, but only in the 80's...

Hi Hawkmoon,

rumours that Zaqawi has been caught

Wouldn't that be great news. Here's a list I found that may be helpful... geocities.com

Thanks for dropping by. I always enjoy your thoughtful contributions.
