Economic war is a real possibility. Consider how much of the US economy China controls today. Add to that the demand China will make on oil supplies by 2020(65% increase in demand).

The U.S. (very sensibly) only attacks the weak.

That's not true. It may seem that way because there is no one as strong as us these days. But we have always taken on all comers.

But we have no reason to attack China. They have nothing we want. But we have something they need. We have control of the oil. And China would attack us in the ME for it. And there you have it. The final conflict that we've all heard about that takes place on the plains, Armageddon.
