What I was getting at in my last is why not put the stabilization in the camera. That way, you only have to pay for it once. If you have 3 telephoto lenses, you have to pay for the stabilization 3 times. Since SI adds about 50% to the price of the lens, it adds up.

All the cameras I know of move when the lens moves, they do not move independently.

Of course if money is no object, then you must have been short SNDK for the past 8 months! :-)
