Really like the way you chose to make the texture of the environment mimic the subject (or vice versa). Smooth as velvet through and through in the first, jagged in out of the other two.

i saw a dragonfly close up this weekend, several actually.
almost went for the camera and then said, "no... croc's
already got the bug world covered."
