Excuse me, sir, but the rightwing clamped down on the press and dissenting opinion once Bush announced he wanted to invade Iraq. They did so in a orchestrated, calculated way, while at the same time lying to us about the imminent dangers of Saddam, his WMD's programs and how he was mixed up in 9-11 and Al Qaida.

Anyone who dared to argue with the Bushie message was accused of being a traitor, un-American, weak, in league with foreigners, appeasing the enemy, even "evil". This was no accidential or spontaneous, it was all orchestrated. The selling of the war, the selling of Bush's America (or Bush = America), and the demonization of anyone who had the common sense patriotism to ask questions or point out the BS.

Now we know better. Know we know that Bushies were the ones lying and being un-American, not the other side, and it's not too late to take that knowledge to the voting booth and get rid of these neocons once and for all.
