If these people are so competent, why the hell is Iraq in chaos and so many other things messed up? Just one example among many.......its been nearly two years since 9/11 and our airports are still not safe. I don't agree that Iraq is in "chaos". I think it is about where any reasonable person would expect it to be at this point. People have been unreasonable in their expectations. But you had predicted civil war by this time. Nobody, NOBODY thought we would have handed government over to them by this time. And frankly, while there are incidents of violence, they are just incidents. Iraq is looking pretty damned good to me. As to airports being safe, I think they are a hell of a lot safer than they were. You can never get perfection. But I haven't had any discomfort in flying.
