OT/ On the CBC last night there was a Calgary talk radio show in the program. Listeners were incensed-calling the Liberals thieves and criminals. Albertans are more like Texans than Eastern Canadians.

The NDP might stop the sale of PetroCan so they can keep the bounty for themselves.

The big problem is the civil servants. No gov't in recent Canadian history has shown they can control the ability of the civil servants to outmanouevre the politicians. (Which, incidentally, is my biggest worry on the CanRoys). These civil servants spend all day looking for a tax base they can use to justify a team of 30,50 civil servants. When a new gov't arrives the civil servants just say "No, you can't do that because of this and that". End of discussion. Canada needs a Margaret Thatcher to break the unions and slim the ranks of the civil service. Canada should be a rich, rich country like Norway instead the civil servants and the politicians steal the wealth of the Canadians.

I agree. Albertans have figured this out.
