I feel bankrupt, culturally speaking, KT. I learned almost zero history in school. I hope kids in school today are getting a better education than the one I did, but I doubt it -- there are so many new values that have to be taught -- in order to keep them submissive and accepting of the new social order. No child left behind and all that 'portant stuff. When you have no historical / cultural context for understanding present day events, it's pretty easy to become prey for the loudest voices on the TV.
