Black people are more likely to be convicted of felonies.
The same crime gets a white perpetrator a plea bargained misdemeanor.

Can you quantify it and document it? Keep in mind that there are a lot more white people that black people.

Some facts re. drug felony convictions that substantiate TP's statements:

drugwarfacts.org

"Among persons convicted of drug felonies in state courts, whites were less likely than African-Americans to be sent to prison. Thirty-three percent (33%) of convicted white defendants received a prison sentence, while 51% of African-American defendants received prison sentences. It should also be noted that Hispanic felons are included in both demographic groups rather than being tracked separately so no separate statistic is available.

I can't throw anything at you other than anecdotal evidence, but it's an income-class thing; black people are on average less well-off than white people, and poorer people can't afford the same legal representation that wealthier ones can, so what TP has to say makes sense.
