Just more ignorance from an obvious believer in the cultural superiority of males which therefore falsely rationalizes the supposed need of women's suppression. How dare you criticize the USA's treatment of women!! This country is a beacon for the entire world to follow of equal opportunity and the human dignity that every woman in the world is entitled as a birthright. Can Muslim women serve in their military? Can they run for political office(other than the 2 unique secular Muslim countries you mentioned)? Can they reject their family's religion & it's customs without being shunned by their community? The list goes on and on. Mid-east cultures will finally step into the modern world when they grant women all the rights now offered to men. The primary reason those cultures breed such violence is because women have not had the power to cast a civilizing influence on male war-mongering & hate. As for Mohammed's wardrobe instructions, a religion that has such rigidity about simple issues of life that it has not eliminated or up-dated dogma, and granted more freedom to worshippers in the 21stC, cannot be surprised when their radical fundamentalists start to terrorize the entire world. It's about time all such inflexible religions start to question the authenticity of their ancient roots--that includes Christianity as well. (although no one can deny that Christian churches have often through the ages criticized parts of the Bible & modernized in many ways)
