The whole exercise of accounting has gained respect in my eyes. It is a true art to properly allocate costs. One I find interesting is future sales expense vs warranty.

You have betrayed your lack of experience in running a business.

The price charged to a hotel guest bears no relation to either the hotel occupancy or the total costs of running the hotel.

While the marginal cost of serving the guest provides a minimum price the hotel will accept, no other cost or occupancy data is relevant.

As long as they cover their marginal costs, hotels are revenue maximizers.
