And what do you think the Republicans have been doing since Reagan? No Republican has ever seriously tried to stop abortion through legislation. They also just pander for votes telling lies like they oppose abortion. The ban of partial birth abortion was perfect for Bush. Giving him a chance to posture and look like he's doing something when the ban really has no affect on abortion numbers at all. The Republicans don't really oppose abortion. They just need your vote.
