Cheney may be mixed blessing for GOP
Vice president rallies base, but can alienate others

msnbc.msn.com

"At a time when Republicans are unified on nearly every other question, a number of well-known party members continue to talk privately about the possibility that Cheney will be replaced before the party's convention at the end of August. White House officials said there was no possibility that would occur. But one GOP official, exasperated with Cheney's continued talk about Iraq's supposed arsenal of weapons of mass destruction, compared him to the Japanese guerrillas who filtered out of the jungle in the 1950s, not realizing World War II was over."

Glenn, you and your fellow wingnuts can stop abortions. All you have to do is let those women seeking abortions know that you'll support them through their pregnancies, pay for the birth and adopt and raise the children that were to be aborted. Yet, I never hear this put forward by your ilk.

I consider Kerry's position moderate. Life beginning at conception is a conservative idea actually. All of these abortion arguemtns get down to when is the fertilized egg "human". Apparently John has a very conservative stance about that though he still favors the woman's right to choose, which is only common sense decency, especially if you're a man. I say let the women decide this issue. I wouldn't want them telling us if we have to have vasectomies or something.
