Hi C2, reading the PNAC propaganda, it had more than a passing resemblance to an anti-democratic totalitarian rule by an unelected few based on murderous force against people who are presumed not to have human rights, other than of an Abu Grahib/Guantanamo Bay nature [where alien human rights are whatever the PNAC Emperor deems them to be at a particular time]. Mr End of History has written lots of stuff, but nothing I could see even mentioning the UN let alone the concept of a NUN. Same for the rest of the PNAC. I can't help it when I see parallels with other political entities from other times. I didn't mean the current situation with my Fourth Reich reference, I meant the trend and what would effectively be in place if the PNAC had untrammelled success. The price of liberty is eternal vigilance and some vigilantes in the USA consider that their liberties under Homeland Security, Patriot Act and the like are greatly reduced since the good old days. How much is enough? The greatest threat to liberty is internal, not external. Societies are generally conformist and repressive. People vote for their own suppression! People are their own worst enemies, usually killed by what they put in their own mouths and minds. As an UnAmerican Alien, the PNAC doesn't make pleasant reading, but I admit I need to read some more to have a full understanding of the benefits to We the Sheeple. The UN gets short shrift and NUN gets zero mention, and no mechanism is given for Earthly bliss other than rule by the PNAC. The USA didn't like rule by King George III and the British Foreign Office, and the rest of the world doesn't like rule by King George II and the PNAC. Ungrateful bunch of swine that we are. There is quite a teutonic, conservative and repressive nature to the USA. Which is ironic since it's also a liberal place where anything goes, in some respects. But as Fred on Everything says, freedom is an elusive butterfly in the USA of today. I'm contemplating a trip to the USA to see just what the situation really is, though I'm nervous about being disappeared for looking at some stupid Homeland Security megalomaniac in the wrong way. I do wonder what the PNAC wives, mothers, sisters and daughters think of the PNAC Rule the World theme and whether they would rather have a nice NUN to keep the children from throwing sand around the sandpit. The boys ran the 20th century. They opened with the Boer War and gave us WWI, WWII and Holocaust, the cold war, Mao's maelstrom, Pol Pot, Kim Il Sung, the Japan Greater Co-prosperity Sphere, Saddam's wars, Islamic Jihad, Jim Jones, David Koresh, Stalin's depopulations, Idi Amin, Heaven's Gate trip to Hale Bopp, napalm on children and My Lai, Steve Biko's death, IRA, Armenian genocide, Algerian carnage, Rwanda, Mugabe, Korean war, the Great Depression, Ku Klutz Klan, and a lot more besides. The boys opened the 21st century with 911 and associated blood sports. I'd be happy to take my chances with women setting the tone in the living room. Mqurice
