Zonder, as addictions go I dont think nicotine is so bad, what is REALLY BAD at least for me is the HABIT of having one such as with my coffee in the morning. I guess what I am saying is as a smoker I think the hardest reason for me to stop would by psychological. Example, if I am sleeping I dont miss it, even if I take a nap during the day. Seems to me thats an indication its more psychological then physical, but I am neither a scientist nor a doctor. jdn

"How about Rush's claim (in 1994) that nicotine has not been proven addictive?"

If he said that, it sounds dishonest. I don't listen to Rush.

"I guess the only remaining option is that he was indeed lying."

Like I have said if he said it, it does sound dishonest. All I know is that some anonymous poster named "zonder" says he said it. But if zonder speaks truthfully, Rush has been dishonest at least once imo.
