Shorts- I bought puts on one of the brokers, Ameritrade (AMTD). I'm looking at the brokers which don't not have significant investment banking business - Schwab, Ameritrade, E-trade.

Volume is down, retila is down, AND it looks like a price war is starting for the retail active trader. I got a market research call from Schwab last month, what can we do for you ? open ended thing.

Also, Interactive Brokers, highly automated, no live help, but $1.00 a trade, plus foreign, futures, options, margin AND complex orders (trailing stops, VWAP, etc.) is now advertising on TV instaed of just Barron's and the trading magazines.

Jay - Do you have Paramount (PMT.to, PGMYF) my favorite beaten down victim of the arbitrary and capricious Alberta Energy Board (Thanks guys ! I apprecaite being able to buy fine companies at discount prices- this is one US Citizen who thinks highly of the Canadian government, unlike Malcolm and Taikun and Spotted...;-))

Wonderful yield....even after the effect of some Alberta gas being shut in.

Oh, they (Paramount) are also suing for compnesation for the shut in gas....
