We have China's economy has two sides:

(You know how I tend to oversimplify)

Side Nr. 01:
the workshop of the planet producing stuff round the clock at unbeatable prices.

Side Nr. 02:
The internal economy whose financing mechanism is the banking system lending money (earned from export of Side Nr. 01) for projects that sucks imports of all kinds of stuff.

Now when officialdom talks about 'cooling down' soft-landing' and other shorthands, they mean: dry up the money flow fueling Side Nr. 02.

Is that an accurate (if simplified) picture?
