Speaking of them, why does Israel get to have nuclear weapons? They won't admit it, but they almost certainly have them.

Would it not be easier for the US to "disarm" the "rogue" Arab states if we addressed Israel's nuclear program in some way?

The arguments against nuclear proliferation can all be applied to Israel.

Then the difference between us comes down to my thinking that the outcome took place by design and you believe it was a matter coincidences and dumb luck that the outcome was the right thing at the right time for us.

I will not dignify the implications of the rest of your post with answers, but just say that you are so enamored with your own views that you have a hard time seeing reasonable alternatives.
