Yes it may have been well intentioned but I don't see it that way. I see it as a foot in the door to more survellience, fourth amendment violations and more. Everyone always told me it did not apply to Americans, well it does now and Patriot II is worse. I believe Patriot II was enacted in the dark of night like Clinton's AWB. Just no on screen theatrics of crying and stomping of the feet like Clinton did or keeping the Senate in session until they passed it. It is not good legislation, it should be repealed.
