Africa is a complete mess. I worked there for a while -- unreal. Very sad indeed. War, killing, poverty, disease and a legacy of a mismash of colonialism and tribalism that nothing can wash away. We will ignore their suffering until they have something worth our trouble to go over and take from them -- by force when needed.

Why aren't the Europeans helping the Africans? Or why aren't the other African countries helping their neighbors?

I know at least the UK is chipping in. [There's probably more countries but I don't feel like looking them up.] Ethiopia, Uganda, Eritrea, Zaire and Chad have taken in Sudanese refugees. They could have done what the US did for the Haitian refugees.
