Let's see, I think I typed that early in the morning, so what was I thinking of? I think I was reacting to your assertion that receipts returned to certain levels. Although the amount in '84 was somewhat less than the amount in '82, it was close enough to be at roughly the same level. In other words, the marked dip lasted exactly one year. True, an actual improvement did not occur until '85, when the '81 figure was exceeded, and that means that it took four years to achieve revenue growth, but that was with an intervening recession. As far as the comment about '85 went, I simply "lost my place" and forgot which year the bill went through, and which year the tax cuts started. Plain old vanilla error, sorry.
